About the Position We are experiencing significant growth and are looking for talented Senior Structural Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Draftspersons to join our expanding Sunshine Coast-based team. With a robust and diverse portfolio of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial projects, this is an exciting prospect to become part of a dynamic and collaborative business that values technical excellence, innovation, and professional development. Working across a broad range of projects, these roles offer genuine variety and exposure, providing the prospect to develop your skills across multiple sectors rather than being confined to repetitive tasks or a single long-term project. We are particularly interested in Senior Structural Engineers with 6–10 years of industry experience who can bring strong expertise in structural design, analysis, and project delivery. You will play a key role in leading projects, providing technical guidance to project teams, building client relationships, and ensuring successful outcomes delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural designs for commercial and industrial projects, including steel, concrete, and timber structures
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to ensure the designs are aligned with the project goals and requirements
- Prepare construction documents and specifications for bidding and construction purposes
- Conduct site visits throughout construction, including but not limited too: Foundations, Slabs on Ground, Blockwork, RC Walls, Suspended Slabs & Framing.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality
- Assist with project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Mentor and support graduate and early-career engineers and design drafters
- Supervise, review, and provide RPEQ sign-off on project deliverables prepared by peers and junior engineers About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 6-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on Residential projects.
- Experience in industry-standard structural analysis and design software, such as, Spacegass, Inducta & Hyne Design
- Detailed working knowledge of building codes and regulations, including AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, etc.
- RPEQ and CPEng/NER Qualification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record of managing client relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
