Male Support Worker Required For Support In Sunshine

We are on the lookout for a motivated and compassionate Male Support Worker to make a significant impact in the life of a young individual. Located in Sunshine, Victoria, this role is not only about providing support but also about empowering and enabling independence through travel training and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care assistance with a focus on dignity and respect.

Facilitate protected and reliable transportation using the worker’s own vehicle for daily school drop-offs and other activities.

Offer travel training to enhance the client’s confidence and independence in using public transportation, including buses and trains.

Build a supportive and positive relationship with the client, focusing on their strengths and interests.

Work collaboratively with the client’s family and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid Working With Children Check.

A current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transporting the client.

Demonstrated experience in travel training and familiarity with the public transportation system.

Proven experience working with clients in the age range of 18 to 25 years old.

Availability for morning shifts, Monday to Friday.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with young adults effectively.

A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to support work.
