Second Engineer (Devonport)

Overview CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Second Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in the Bass Strait. Reporting to the First Engineer, the Second Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the main engine auxiliary engines. - The safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
- Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
- Performing day work in conjunction with a rotating 24 hour system of Gear Turn;
- Any other duties as required. The skills you will bring to our team: Basic Requirements
- Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 2 (required)
- AMSA Engineer (Class 2) CoC/CoR Unlimited
- Minimum 3 years sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper(required)
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
- Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
- Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
