Overview CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full‑time Third Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in Bass Strait. Reporting to the First Engineer, the Third Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the Fuel and Lube Oil Purification system, boiler maintenance and feedwater control, compressed air machinery, and domestic services as directed. - Safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders
- Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders
- Perform day work in conjunction with the rotating 24‑hour system of gear turn, including fuel and lube oil purifiers, air compressors, boiler and boiler feedwater control, and heat exchanges as directed
- Any other duties as required The Skills You Will Bring To Our Team
- Educational requirement: AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3 (required)
- AMSA Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoR Unlimited
- Minimum 6 months sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
- Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
- Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
