- Proven experience supporting finance operations across multi-sites
- Strong capability in purchase ledger management and account reconciliation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the Volvo and Polestar brands by carrying out a wide range of core finance tasks, including managing sales and purchase ledgers, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month‑end activities. Key Responsibilities
- Sales ledger duties: posting bank transactions, credit control, and following up debtor queries with departmental managers and customers
- Nominal ledger: posting bank, intercompany and other nominal ledger journals
- Managing and reconciling petty cash
- Assisting with month‑end close processes and resolving related queries
- Purchase ledger: coding and inputting invoices and credit notes, reconciling supplier statements, running payments, and resolving supplier queries
- Responding promptly to internal and external finance queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records, documentation, and filing systems About You
- Excellent numeracy skills with strong attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Experience working under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
- Confident handling queries face‑to‑face, over the phone, and via email
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role, ideally within a quick‑paced, multi‑site business Why Riverside?
