Intermediate Accountant - Business Services (Doncaster Heights)

About the Role: We are seeking a highly self-motivated person with an outgoing and friendly personality to work full time as an intermediate accountant. The successful candidate must have brilliant administrative/computer skills (Microsoft Office), display a positive 'can do' attitude with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Qualifications & experience:
· Degree in Accounting.
· CPA or CA Qualifications or working toward
· Minimum 2 years Tax Preparation Experience along with Client contact.
· Must know Xero inside and out (exposure to other Accounting systems is also highly regarded) and Experience with Practice Manager, Xero and Hubdoc a +++
· Minimum 3 years Tax Preparation Experience along with Client contact
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· A thirst to improve and a desire to learn (we are big believers in continuous improvement). Tasks & responsibilities:
· Review of Xero data and preparation of accounts, activity statements, and tax returns.
· Ability to analyse financial data to spot compliance and business performance concerns. Assist clients with Xero/accounting/tax queries.
· Liaise with the ATO on client matters as required.
· Preparing Financial Statements and Income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
· Provide tax research and provide assistance on all tax related matters across the group to both clients and staff.
