Kickstart Your Career in Car Restoration with WD Autobody & Restorations! We are a family-run car restoration workshop located in Dromana, known for turning heads with our bold innovation, precision craftsmanship, and genuine care for our customers. We’re on the hunt for a driven Apprentice Panel Beater to join our "Reviving History" team. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and work on everything from iconic classics to high-end luxury and prestige cars, this is your chance to learn real skills, get hands-on experience, and grow alongside industry professionals. Duties
- Collaborate with the Panel Shop Manager to assist in the repair and restoration of customer cars
- Learn essential panel beating techniques including shaping, welding, and fabrication
- Use power tools and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces
- General stripping of vehicles and assembling
- Perform thorough cleaning of customer vehicles, both interior and exterior
- Moving Cars in and out of the workshop
- Be an integral part of a creative, dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience with real projects About You
- Passionate about the automotive industry, particularly in panel beating
- A genuine love and respect for classic cars. Skills can be taught, passion can’t. (1st, 2nd or 3rd year of the Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology. Advantageous)
- A good sense of humour and positive attitude
- Dedicated to completing a 4 year apprenticeship and training , including studies with a renowned training provider
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a robust work ethic and a "can-do" attitude
- A reliable team player with strong communication skills
- Well-presented and able to work effectively within a close-knit team
- Values honesty, reliability, and punctuality
- Permanent resident or have appropriate Australian working rights Requirements
- Commitment to completing a 4 year in house TAFE apprenticeship
- Good work ethic and attitude
- Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Awareness of OH&S; requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
