About the team The Content Team creates compulsive and original content across the AICD's print and digital platforms, including Company Director magazine, digital tools and articles, email newsletters, social media, videos and podcasts. The team works closely with every part of the business to set and deliver the AICD's Content Strategy and produce engaging and personalised media that expands the AICD's brand reach, elevates our thought leadership, fosters member loyalty and improves governance. About the role As the Content Writer & Editor, you will create, edit, and coordinate engaging content across multiple digital channels, helping deliver a compelling member experience and supporting AICD's strategic content objectives. This is a hands-on role suited to a solid writer and editor who enjoys balancing content creation with coordination and stakeholder collaboration. You will work across articles, newsletters, social media, podcasts, and video content, managing content from idea through to delivery in a rapid-paced environment. Your remit will be broad and will include: Writing and editing digital articles, newsletters, social media copy, and member communications Developing ideas for articles, podcast topics, and other content initiatives Drafting scripts and supporting coordination for podcast and video content Editing internally produced and externally commissioned content to ensure quality and consistency Working with freelancers, contributors, and subject matter experts to develop engaging content Managing content workflows from concept through to publication Building strong working relationships with contributors and stakeholders across the organisation Supporting the production of the weekly Membership newsletter Ensuring all content aligns with brand tone, style guidelines, and audience expectations Contributing ideas and initiatives that support continuous improvement and audience engagement About you You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD "OneTeam" approach and values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following: 3+ years experience in journalism, editorial, or content writing roles Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capability across digital formats Experience creating engaging content for online audiences Ability to generate content ideas independently and confidently manage multiple deadlines Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and quality control capability Experience coordinating or supporting multimedia content such as podcasts or video is advantageous Understanding of digital publishing, social media, and online communications Exposure to SEO, analytics, or digital performance reporting is desirable but not essential Experience within business journalism or professional services environments is advantageous but not required Your career at the AICD Our Values Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration There are many benefits of joining the AICD, but the following are examples of what you can expect: Hybrid/adaptable working arrangements.
