Senior Associate – Property (Litigation & Transactions)

5+ Years PQE | Sydney | Full time | In-Office

Weinberger Lawyers is a specialist property law and commercial litigation firm working on complex, high‐value and time‐sensitive matters.

A lot of our practice sits at the intersection of property litigation and strategic transactions, and we are known for taking on matters others consider too difficult.

We are growing quickly and are looking for a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) with deep expertise in property law to join our team.

The Role

You will work directly with the Principal on sophisticated and complex matters, including:

Complex property disputes and litigation

Constructive trusts and equitable claims

Put and call options and strategic structuring

Strata disputes and strata renewal processes

Urgent Supreme Court and Land and Workplace Court matters

High‐stakes advisory work where legal strategy and commercial outcomes intersect

You will have carriage of matters, client contact from day one, and the opportunity to shape strategy, not just execute it.

About You

Has 5+ years PQE with a strong focus on property litigation and/or complex property transactions

Has hands‐on experience with any one or more of: disputes involving equitable interests (including constructive trusts), site acquisitions including those under option agreements, understanding of related tax issues, strata law including renewal and collective sale processes

Is confident running matters with limited supervision

Thinks commercially and strategically, not just legally

Writes clearly, precisely, and persuasively

Thrives in a fast‐paced environment with high expectations

Focuses on client objectives and counter‐party objectives

Works well with others

Most importantly, you care about doing excellent work on compelling matters.
