About the Role The Team Member Loader plays a key role in delivering waste and resource recovery services to the Inner West community across day and/or night shift operations. Working as part of a team, this role is responsible for operating waste collection vehicles and supporting the safe, efficient completion of collection services including garbage, recycling, garden organics, clean‐ups and lane servicing. Reporting to the Resource Recovery Coordinator, the role combines safe vehicle operation with hands‐on collection duties, ensuring services are completed to schedule and in line with Council standards. The Team Member Loader contributes to a team‐based "group task finish" approach, supporting colleagues to meet daily operational targets while maintaining high safety and service quality outcomes. The role requires flexibility to work across shifts, services and depots, and a strong commitment to work health and safety, customer service, and respectful engagement with the community. Demonstrated ability to perform work safely at all times and actively ensuring the safety of your team members and others including the public and community at large. Suitable level of fitness relative to position. Ability and preparedness to work flexibly across any collection services in a team‐based customer focussed environment. Experience in relevant requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act and a commitment to encouraging and influencing a safe and healthy work environment.
