Senior Design Engineer — Formwork & Structural Solutions …, New South Wales

To provide design of formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions using PERI products in accordance with PERI guidelines and practices, as well in accordance with Australian standards. Support the technical team by providing training and assistance as required.

- Formulation of design solutions, based on all necessary calculations, and then drafting those solutions using PERI version of AutoCAD.
- Preparation of preliminary drawings, including calculations of the quantity and quality of materials needed. Preparation of the component, assembly and layout drawings in accordance with the technical requirements.
- Coordinating closely with the other team members and sales engineers to get the required technical information
- Carrying out structural alterations in accordance with clear specifications.
- Depicting tables, graphical representations and diagrams in a clear format on the basis of templates and numerical data.
- Compiling technical lists (e.g. alterations list, parts list) in accordance with instructions.
- Maintaining the drawing registers.
- Provide assistance and support to the other team members by training and technical advise.
- Comply and ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with workplace health and safety, quality rules and regulations.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Develop relationships with other Engineering team members to ensure effective working practices and strong support
- Representing the Engineering function to collaborate with and support other departments. Training

- AutoCAD
- A tertiary qualification in civil/structural engineering or relevant field
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, including email Experience

- Min 3 years’ professional experience as a Senior Design Engineer Personal attributes

- Ability to work in a team and has a positive working attitude
- Well organised, methodical.
- Strong work ethic, open and reliable
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Other criteria
