Associate – Property & Strata Litigation (New South Wales)

About the Opportunity

PQE Partners are representing a highly regarded national commercial and property law firm, known for their deep expertise across strata and community titles, property development and litigation. As the firm continues its expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join the Sydney team.

This is a unique chance to work directly under highly accomplished and esteemed partner with over 20 years of experience in this area. You’ll work closely with him, and alongside some of Australia’s top practitioners in this space – on a high-quality mix of litigation, advisory and commercial property matters.

Having placed several lawyers with this firm nationally, we can genuinely vouch for the culture and quality of the team. They are a collegiate, down-to-earth group who take pride in producing excellent work, support each other properly and are serious about long-term career development. Expectations are high, but realistic, and work life balance is genuinely respected rather than simply talked about.

Key Responsibilities

You will support across a diverse range of property-related disputes and advisory matters, including:

- Strata and community title disputes
- Property development, insurance, leasing and general property law
- Construction disputes and broader contractual issues
- Debt recovery and enforcement
- Drafting legal correspondence, court documents and client advice
- Attending court hearings and preparing materials for both interlocutory and final hearings
- Briefing counsel and assisting with witness and expert evidence
- Managing your own files with growing responsibility About You You will have at 5-7 years PQE. Strata/property experience would be highly regarded but it is not essential. If you have relatable litigation experience, are keen to learn and would be interested in this growing area of law, then please get in touch.
