The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) is hiring a Senior Physiotherapist to deliver and lead high‑quality physiotherapy services within NSWIS sport programmes. This full‑time position offers a salary range of $132,915 to $138,234 per annum plus superannuation, and the contract extends until 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle. About The Role This senior role is responsible for delivering and leading high‑quality physiotherapy services within NSWIS sport programmes. You will plan and deliver proactive, evidence‑based clinical services, working within multidisciplinary performance teams to optimise athlete health and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Leading injury management and return‑to‑performance planning
- Delivering risk‑reduction and athlete availability strategies
- Contributing to data‑informed clinical decision making
- Working within a program with varying physical and technical, acrobatic demands for athletes operating in high‑load and complex movement environments About You You are an experienced sports physiotherapist with a track record in high‑performance environments. You deliver consistent, high‑quality clinical care and influence athlete, coach and team behaviours to achieve outcomes. You communicate clearly and work effectively within performance teams, apply evidence and data to inform decisions, manage complex injuries and return to performance, and maintain high professional standards and accountability. Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of physiotherapy experience, including high‑performance sport
- Experience in technically demanding, high‑skill sport environments
- Proven ability to deliver injury prevention, rehabilitation and return‑to‑performance outcomes
- Robust clinical reasoning and decision‑making skills Essential Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Master’s or APA titling (Sports & Exercise or Musculoskeletal)
- AHPRA registration
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver’s licence
