0.2 FTE part time role, fixed term position for 12 months at headspace CamperdownDietician role to support young people in the Eating Disorders Mini Clinic at headspace Camperdown$ 117,133 Base + 17% Superannuation (effective late June 2026) prorated for 0.2 FTEAbout the opportunityThe Dietitian is a key clinician within the Eating Disorders Mini Clinic (ED MC) within headspace providing specialist dietetic assessment, intervention, and monitoring for young people experiencing emerging mild to moderate eating disorders. The role also includes offering dietetic support to a smaller number of young people engaged in general headspace treatment streams. Working closely with the headspace team, the Dietitian contributes to coordinated treatment planning, participates in case reviews, and provides expert dietetic insight to support safe, high-quality care.Headspace Camperdown provides free, comprehensive physical and mental health support to young people aged 12–25 and their families. Delivered through the Brain and Mind Centre (BMC) at the University of Sydney. Our services are accessible, youth friendly, inclusive, and grounded in best practice. Our multidisciplinary clinical team includes Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, GPs, Psychiatrist, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Researchers.Our model of care is guided by three principles:Delivery of specialised primary level services across physical health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and vocational support.Timely, easy access for local young people.A coordinated, cooperative approach supported by clear communication and seamless pathways between services.Join a collegial, supportive and inclusive team, where you’ll play a vital role in improving outcomes for young people and their mental health.Your key responsibilities will be to:join a tight-knit team to work closely with young people with lived experience and their carersconduct dietetic assessments and develop evidence‑based treatment plansprovide youth‑friendly, tailored nutritional interventions that consider physical, psychological, and behavioural needswork collaboratively with the ED GP and ED Clinical Psychologist to ensure integrated, coherent careparticipate in case reviews and provide clinical updates, progress summaries, and dietetic recommendationsAbout youBachelor degree qualified in Dieteticsdemonstrated experience supporting young people with Eating Disordersexcellent clinical skills and experience/competence in youth mental health clinical assessment, risk assessment & risk managementwell-developed interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, advocacy and negotiation skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family/carers, workers and other agenciesexcellent time and workload management and organisational skillsdemonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve team goalsability to work independently and as a team playerexcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with all stakeholdersholding a valid Working with Children Check.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our COVID safety precautions which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.This position is designated as involving child-related work.
