Senior Associate, Building & Construction — Flexible Remote …, New South Wales

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Building & Construction Senior Associate to join our growing, high‐performing, friendly and innovative Commercial Disputes team, which services a broad mix of clients including large corporations, SMEs, high net‐worth individuals, local councils and government. While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely. About You 5+ years PAE working on a variety of building and construction law matters, including general building and construction disputes and general disputes, with robust front‐end experience. Solid knowledge of tribunal and court practice and procedure. Knowledge of SOPA legislation and experience with adjudications for both claimants and respondents. Familiarity with drafting and reviewing standard form and bespoke building contracts and preparing departure schedules. Experience working with building experts and preparing technical issue reports. Insolvency and general commercial disputes experience will be considered. Commercially astute and client‐focused. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Strong research and troubleshooting methods. Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
