Assistant Centre Administration Officer, Clerk Grade 1/2, Wellington Correctional Centre (Stores / Warehouse Role) Temporary role for at least 6 months in Stores / Warehouse Role
- Clerk Grade 1/2: $75,727- $82,328, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- Rostered position requires the successful candidate to work alternate weekends and some public holidays. This work will attract shift allowances for hours worked. About us Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, protected and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community. CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported. About the role Corrective Services NSW requires an Assistant Centre Administration Officer to join a vibrant team at the Wellington Correctional Centre. You will be responsible for providing administrative and warehouse support to a correctional centre and your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- A range of recognised correctional administrative functions
- Records management
- Procurement and inventory management
- Payment for goods and services with Pcard
- Operation of mobile plant and equipment such as forklifts, tugs and trailers
- Daily delivery of goods across the centre
- Assist with stores and asset management as required
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
- All miscellaneous tasks as required in accordance with the capabilities of the role About you To be successful for this role, you will display integrity at all times and be a true team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will maintain confidentiality at all times whilst utilising your proven experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role effectively. Resilience, initiative, high attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to work under pressure are the key attributes to succeed in this fast‑paced role.
- Current and valid driving licence and willingness to travel within NSW
