Sharp & Carter are excited to be partnering with this iconic retail organisation to appoint a Senior ER Specialist into a high-performing people advisory function. This role sits at the senior end of the team, focused on managing high-risk, complex employee relations matters and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a role suited to a seasoned ER qualified who thrives on complexity, can navigate ambiguity, and brings a strong balance of technical expertise and commercial judgement.

The Role

As a Senior ER Specialist, you will take ownership of the most complex and sensitive workplace matters, providing strategic advice and leading end-to-end case management across a broad portfolio.

Key areas of focus include:

Managing high-risk, complex ER cases end-to-end, including serious misconduct, discrimination, bullying, and termination matters Leading legally robust workplace investigations and providing clear, defensible recommendations Preparing for and supporting tribunal matters, including Fair Work Commission proceedings and conciliations Providing expert advice on enterprise agreements, awards, and employment legislation Partnering with senior leaders to navigate risk, influence outcomes, and drive best practice

About You

You will be a highly experienced ER qualified with deep technical capability and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor at a senior level.

Extensive experience managing complex ER cases and workplace investigations Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, industrial instruments, and employment legislation Experience supporting or leading tribunal matters highly regarded Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders Comfortable operating autonomously in a quick-paced, high-risk environment Background in retail, FMCG or hospitality well-regarded
