Currently partnered with an established and rapidly growing leader in the food manufacturing sector to find an exceptional Warehouse and Inventory skilled. This is a pivotal middle-management appointment designed for a disciplined leader who thrives on operational precision and team accountability.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of a complex warehouse ecosystem, reporting directly to the Post-Production Manager. This role goes beyond moving stock; it’s about optimizing high-stakes logistics in a temperature-controlled setting and ensuring the business meets its 100% DiFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) commitment.
Opportunity
The Coordinator will lead a dynamic team of forklift drivers and pickers, instilling a culture of high standards and punctuality. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Manage and mentor the Warehouse Team, including morning/afternoon assistants and supervisors, to maximize labor productivity. Inventory Integrity: Maintain 95% stock accuracy across on-site freezers and 3PL storage locations. Compliance & Safety: Uphold strict HACCP programs and Critical Control Points while driving a "Zero Accident" safety culture. Strategic Logistics: Forecast lead times for raw materials, coordinate daily manifests, and optimize storage capacity across pallet freezers and mezzanine areas. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work as a key member of the Middle Management Team, liaising daily with Production, Procurement, and Customer Service.
Qualifications Extensive experience in warehouse coordination, preferably within the food or FMCG industry. High proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a keen eye for data accuracy. A proven track record of managing 3PL transfers and pallet control systems (e.g., CHEP). Strong organizational skills to manage real-time inventory shifts and complex production plans.
Advantages
This is a fantastic chance to join a business during a phase of significant growth. You will have the autonomy to review and recommend new structures and working processes within the warehouse, directly impacting the company’s operational success.
