Civil Design Engineer Location: Pymble, New South Wales (Ku-ring-gai Council) Job type: Full-time (35 hours per week, permanent) Salary: $109,****** to $127,****** p/a + superannuation. As a Civil Design Engineer at Ku-ring-gai Council, you will take ownership of diverse infrastructure projects — from roads and drainage to traffic and public domain improvements — delivering smart, practical designs from concept through to construction. Responsibilities
- Deliver civil design projects end-to-end — from concept through to construction.
- Prepare detailed designs, specifications and cost estimates.
- Coordinate consultants, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support project delivery with technical advice during construction.
- Embed sustainable design principles (ESD & WSUD) into all projects. Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years experience.
- Strong capability in Civil 3D / 12D, DRAINS / Truflow and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards, materials and construction methods.
- Experience in project coordination, estimating and reporting.
- Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Perks
