Summary In this role you will contribute to delivering practical, evidence-based exercise and lifestyle interventions for children and young people aged 2–18 years and their families. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that includes a Paediatrician, Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, Social Worker, Dietitians, Administrative Officer, and other allied health clinicians. You will receive professional support from senior clinicians to build confidence and capability in paediatric exercise physiology practice. Responsibilities Your work will involve collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised physical activity and movement plans that support children and families to make sustainable lifestyle changes. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of children and families while working across multiple community clinic settings within a service that values innovation, equity, and high-quality care. Location & Work Arrangements This position is district-wide with negotiable location. Part-time employment or role-share arrangements may be considered where appropriate. Flexible work arrangements are available within Primary and Community Health. Selection Criteria
- Year 7+ extent of experience as an Exercise Physiologist and relevant education (e.g., Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise and Sports Science) or equivalent with eligibility for ESSA membership.
- Broad range of relevant exercise prescription skills and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Demonstrated experience in the prescription and delivery of exercise to children and their families.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C-class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C-class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment.
