Overview AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates AWS global infrastructure. The role involves supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The team includes software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. The position focuses on engineering and BIM design for data center facilities, particularly electrical, telecom, and security systems. Key Job Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and update server room design packages for AWS Data Centers, depicting rack locations, cooling and power sources, cages, mantraps, and other equipment.
- Work independently and within a team to accomplish assigned tasks, collaborating with internal and external groups.
- Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of MEP, telecom, and security building systems.
- Develop and publish construction documentation for MEP, telecom, and security building systems designs in a fast‑paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.
- Create and maintain BIM templates and enforce BIM standards.
- Work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical locations.
- Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
- Record and report key metrics to management.
- Offer positive, creative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission‑critical facilities, especially data centers.
- 3+ years of design/engineering experience producing construction drawings for mission‑critical facilities.
- 2+ years of consistent experience with Revit and AutoCAD. Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
- Experience using a variety of web‑based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
