Description
The Prospect
Our client is a powerhouse in the Australian industrial services sector, supporting critical industries from mining to agriculture with a national footprint of over 1,000 employees.
They are currently executing a high‐stakes, multi‐year Finance Transformation Programme designed to modernise their systems and create an insight‐led finance model.
We are looking for a Finance Technology Specialist who can act as the vital "translator" between the Finance, Technology, and PMO departments.
This is not a role for those who prefer to stay on the sidelines; you will be the system‐side authority driving the design and delivery of their ERP roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Finance Design Authority for all ERP and technology implementations.
Drive hands‐on system configuration and set‐up to ensure technology meets complex accounting requirements.
Lead the definition of functional specifications, data structures, and reporting hierarchies.
Own the Finance‐side of project delivery, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data migration validation.
Identify and implement design‐led improvements to reduce manual rework and strengthen internal controls.
Influence and align stakeholders across more than 50 locations to adopt new ways of working.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a rare blend: someone with a "Big Picture" design mindset who isn't afraid to get into the weeds of configuration.
ERP Expertise (Mandatory): Extensive experience with ERP implementations is required, with a heavy preference for candidates with hands‐on Infor LN experience.
Financial Foundation: You possess a solid accounting background and a deep understanding of financial reporting, controls, and core modules like GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets.
Academic Background: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Technology.
Transformation Savvy: Experience in complex, multi‐entity, or acquisitive environments where you have driven operating model change is highly desirable.
Tech Stack: Proficiency in data and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or advanced Excel is a distinct advantage.
Why Apply
If you are looking for a role where you can apply best‐practice thinking to a rapidly growing organisation, this is it.
You will have the authority to challenge legacy practices and play a central role in building a up-to-date, integrated industrial business.
