About the role: This is a newly created role
- and an exciting one. As Australian Vintage continues to grow its global footprint, we're investing in the supply chain leadership to support that ambition. Based in Balmain or Mildura, this is your opportunity to shape and lead our global logistics and inventory function from the ground up. You'll oversee end-to-end logistics execution across domestic and international markets, drive operational excellence across our third-party logistics network, and work closely with Supply, Production, Sales, and regional teams to keep our products moving efficiently around the world. What you’ll do: Your primary duties will include:
- Leading and optimising global logistics operations across domestic and international supply networks
- Overseeing inventory governance, stock integrity, and warehouse operations across global locations and external storage partners
- Managing relationships with freight providers, warehouses, export partners, and third-party logistics (3PL) operators
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across transport, warehousing, export, inventory, and distribution activities
- Monitoring logistics and inventory performance against operational, service, and financial KPIs including DIFOT
- Supporting supply continuity through proactive risk management, issue resolution, and operational escalation management
- Partnering closely with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, and Production teams to support forecast alignment and customer service outcomes
- Providing leadership and operational support to regional logistics and supply chain resources across global markets
- Identifying opportunities to improve logistics capability, operational efficiency, service performance, and cost outcomes
- Delivering accurate reporting and operational insights across logistics, freight, inventory health, and service performance metrics What you’ll bring:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline — or equivalent industry experience
- You bring 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or inventory management roles
- You have strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and turn insights into action
- You have experience managing third-party logistics providers and holding partners accountable to performance
- You are confident working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders across a complex, global environment
- You have experience using inventory management, forecasting, or supply chain systems and reporting tools
- You are an effective communicator with strong relationship management skills across internal and external partners
