- Discounted Private Health Insurance The Role The Administrative Officer Level 5 Supervisor in the Outpatient Department at Prince of Wales Hospital plays a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient-focused administrative services. This position oversees daily operations by allocating work, setting priorities, and coaching team members to meet established timeframes and quality standards. The role provides comprehensive administrative support, including reception, records management, rostering, payroll, recruitment assistance, and data reporting, while effectively managing workflow within available resources. It also involves liaising with senior managers and staff to support coordinated service delivery, preparing clear and accurate reports and correspondence, and maintaining robust records management systems. Additionally, the supervisor contributes to improving administrative processes within the Health Information Unit, models organisational values in all interactions, and actively engages in ongoing professional development and performance review activities. Where You'll be Working Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person-centred care. Selection Criteria
