Mechanical Design Engineer (New South Wales)

Product Development | Precision Electromechanical Systems Not a maintenance design role. This is a product engineering role inside a team that designs precision electromechanical systems used in high‑reliability equipment deployed globally. You will be joining a specialised engineering group working across mechanical, electronic, optical and magnetic technologies to design hardware that must perform consistently in real‑world environments. - See your designs go from concept to prototype to production What you’ll be doing
- Design and develop new mechanical systems for production hardware
- Improve and optimise existing product designs already deployed globally
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks
- Prototype and test design concepts to validate performance and reliability
- Investigate product performance issues and implement design improvements
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical for production
- Develop engineering documentation including change notes and component approvals
- Collaborate with electronics, quality and manufacturing teams across the product lifecycle
- Provide technical input on mechanical design queries when required What you’ll need
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Robust experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and mechanical design
- Experience designing mechanical components for production products
- Understanding of mechanical integration with electronic systems
- Experience with injection moulded components and production design Nice to have
