- Woolcock/RPA About the role The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research is seeking a Clinical Fellow (Advanced Trainee) for a full-time, fixed-term 12-month Sleep Medicine training position commencing February ****. This position will work across two key sections of the Institute. The Woolcock Clinic – a world leading, multidisciplinary clinic specialising in the treatment of all sleep and breathing disorders. Here, the role will contribute to the provision of sleep medicine clinical services with active involvement in the Clinic's specialised clinics including: Hypersomnolence and Narcolepsy Clinic, Insomnia Clinic, CPAP Clinic and General Sleep Clinic as well as its diagnostic services including in-lab polysomnography, CPAP titration and review studies, multiple sleep latency testing and maintenance of wakefulness testing. Sleep and Circadian Research Group – a large, multidisciplinary research group working to forge new ground in the understanding of the biology of sleep and the prevention and treatment of sleep disorders. The group has a broad and extensive research program in which the role will actively participate across multiple projects. This may include participant screenings for research studies, conducting participant visits and undertaking their own small research project in an area of interest. In addition, the role will undertake clinical and research activities at affiliated locations such as RPA Hospital. This position is suited to Trainees wishing to complete their Advanced Training in Sleep Medicine or those who have already attained their FRACP in another discipline and are seeking Sleep Medicine Training/accreditation (e.g. Respiratory Specialists, Neurologists). Clinical and research activities at affiliated locations such as RPA Hospital will take place.
