Synergie Australia is seeking Multiple Customer Service Operators for a trusted state government client located in their Newcastle based call centre. The important parts:
- Pay: $35.80 per hour + Super
- Duration: 6‑month contract | 22nd May 2026 start date
- Hours: Full‑time, Monday to Friday on a rotating 4‑week roster with shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 7:00pm.
- Location: Newcastle NSW What you will be required to do: You'll be the first person customers speak to, using your customer service skills to provide helpful, friendly, and accurate support that makes accessing government services easier.
- Answer inbound customer calls in a busy but supportive contact centre
- Help customers understand services, next steps, and available options
- Resolve enquiries on the spot where possible, or connect customers with the right team
- Accurately update customer records and systems as you go
- Complete simple admin tasks while following privacy and compliance guidelines
- Deliver a positive, professional experience in every interaction To be successful in the role you will:
- Bring 2-3 years of customer service experience (call centre, admin, office or retail)
- Have excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrate strong computer skills, including Outlook, Teams and multi‑screen navigation
- Show strong email etiquette and fast, accurate typing
- Be technically confident with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Previous government experience is preferred but not required
- Full Australian working rights required
- Willingness to undergo National Police Check What's on offer for you:
