Prospect As our pipeline of work grows, we are seeking an Intermediate‑level Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have experience in the structural design of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines, and will be responsible for reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modelling, overseeing drafting, and preparing reports and specifications. Building strong client relationships and demonstrating a deep understanding of our clients’ core business will allow you to provide solutions and service to clients both off‑site and on‑site. About You You will seek fulfilment in autonomy and career flexibility and be committed to delivering projects as part of a multi‑disciplinary and multi‑office project team. You should possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes for the business and our valuable clients. Your Ideal Skills And Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in civil (structural) engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipeline) structural design
- Experience managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects
- Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
- Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks
- Commitment to working safely and within the company’s HSEQ systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
