This position plays a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management, and solid on
- site presence.You’ll operate in a complex and sensitive environment where professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness are essential. - working on a Defence site means operating to a higher standard, where your professionalism and discretion have a direct impact on national operations.**About you:*** **Australian Citizenship**
- required for Defence security clearance eligibility* A current **Security License** valid in NSW* **Baseline Defence Clearance** or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance* Excellent **communication skills** and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders* The ability to **remain calm under pressure** and make sound decisions* A strong sense of **integrity**, **accountability**, and **attention to detail****Duties**:* **Access Control**
- Monitoring entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site.* **Foot Patrols**
- Conducting regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.* **Stakeholder Liaison**
- Building rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.* **Incident Response**
- Reacting promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour.* **Compliance Monitoring**
- Ensuring site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed.* **Reporting & Documentation**
