Senior Consultant - Operational Risk and Resilience (New …, New South Wales

Job Description Step into a role where you can build your consulting career while contributing to high-impact risk and resilience engagements across Australia. As a Senior Consultant in our Operational Risk & Resilience team, you’ll work with ASX-listed companies, financial institutions, government agencies and national brands to strengthen governance, uplift risk frameworks, and enhance operational performance. This is a hands‑on delivery role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders, where you’ll support complex projects while developing your leadership and consulting capabilities. What You’ll Do Based in Sydney, you’ll support delivery across a range of engagements, including:
- Risk transformation and uplift of enterprise risk frameworks
- Operational risk and controls design, implementation and improvement
- Operational resilience assessments, scenario testing and planning
- Regulatory and compliance advisory, including APRA and ASIC requirements In this role you will: Deliver high-quality work
- Support the execution of complex risk and resilience projects
- Apply structured methodologies to analyse risks and develop practical recommendations
- Produce clear, client-ready reports and insights Engage stakeholders
- Work closely with client teams across risk, compliance and operations
- Assist in facilitating workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders
- Build strong working relationships through effective communication Solve problems
- Analyse data and processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities
- Translate technical risk concepts into meaningful insights for clients Support team development
- Coach and guide junior consultants on project work
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment Contribute to growth

- Experience in financial services or public sector environments
- Exposure to APRA or ASIC regulatory frameworks
- Consulting or professional services experience
- Experience in operational risk, internal audit, controls advisory, enterprise risk or regulatory environments
- Exposure to risk and controls frameworks and governance practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
