Description
Important: This role is based in our Sydney CBD office with required in‑person attendance 2 days per week. Visa sponsorship is not available. You must hold an existing, unrestricted right to work in Australia to be considered for this position. Please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria. About Unmaze Unmaze is a specialist Amazon consultancy based in Sydney. We partner with brands selling through Amazon as Vendors, Sellers, and Advertisers, acting as a true extension of their teams to drive sustainable growth across every element of their Amazon business. The Role We are looking for an experienced Amazon Account Manager to own the day‑to‑day delivery of account management services for a portfolio of clients. This is a mid‑level role for someone with solid Amazon platform experience who can manage competing priorities and is ready to take real ownership of client outcomes. You will manage operations across Vendor Central and Seller Central, deliver regular reporting and insights, and serve as the primary contact for your clients. You will work closely with our advertising team to ensure clients receive an integrated view of their Amazon performance. The role suits someone who can balance hands‑on execution with strategic input. You will manage your accounts independently, communicate confidently with clients, and contribute to the continuous improvement of how Unmaze delivers for its clients. Senior support will be available for complex strategic matters and escalations. Why We Offer Flexibility We know that some of the best ecommerce talent is sitting outside the traditional full‑time workforce. Parents returning from career breaks, carers juggling school drop‑offs and pickups, and experienced professionals who need a schedule that fits around life outside work. This role is available as:
- Part‑time school hours (approximately 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, 5 days per week) Both with a proportionally adjusted salary and workload. We will structure the portfolio and expectations around your availability. What matters to us is the quality of your work, not the number of hours you are in a seat. If you have the Amazon knowledge and experience and the commercial instinct, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Client Relationships and Account Management
- Serve as the primary contact for your portfolio of clients, managing day‑to‑day communication and building strong working relationships.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client’s business, objectives, and competitive landscape on Amazon. Translate this into accurate forecasting and clear account plans that outline required inputs and timelines.
- Maintain a regular meeting cadence with clients, sharing performance insights, surfacing opportunities, and ensuring alignment with their goals.
- Represent the client’s voice within Unmaze and externally with Amazon, ensuring execution stays aligned with client objectives. Amazon Platform Operations and Execution
- Manage Vendor Central and/or Seller Central operations including listing management, content optimisation, stock monitoring, and operational improvements.
- Execute operational plans tailored to each client’s goals, category dynamics, and growth stage, contributing to broader strategies developed with senior team members.
- Optimise product listings for search visibility, conversion, and content quality.
- Monitor key metrics and proactively identify issues or opportunities, diagnosing root causes rather than treating symptoms. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Commercial Growth
- Partner with the advertising team to deliver an integrated view of each client’s Amazon performance, ensuring organic and paid strategies are aligned.
- Collaborate with the broader Unmaze team on strategy development, campaign planning, and operational execution.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and deepen Unmaze’s value to existing clients, and work with senior colleagues to develop these. What Success Looks Like
- Clients regard you as a knowledgeable, reliable contact who understands their business inside and out.
- Your portfolio is well organised: consistent reporting, proactive communication, no surprises.
- You are across the detail. Stock levels, listing quality, performance trends, and competitive shifts are all on your radar.
- Organic and advertising strategies are working together for your clients because you collaborate effectively with the advertising team.
- Clients are growing, and you can explain why with data and strategic rationale.
- You regularly identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand services, and you bring these to the table. What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in Amazon account management, ecommerce management, or a closely related role (minimum 4 years).
- Hands‑on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.
- Robust commercial awareness and an understanding of how Amazon fits within a brand’s broader business.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to present to and advise client stakeholders.
- Highly organised and detail‑driven, with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership, investigate issues, and follow through.
- Experience in an agency or consultancy environment managing multiple client relationships. Preferred
- Experience across both Vendor Central and Seller Central.
- Working‑level familiarity with Amazon advertising (Sponsored Ads, DSP).
- Experience with Amazon analytics tools and reporting platforms.
- A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is valued but not essential. Location and Working Arrangements
- This role is based in our Sydney CBD office on Castlereagh Street, with required in‑person attendance 2 days per week.
- Part‑time and adjusted‑hours arrangements are genuinely supported. We will work with you to agree a schedule that suits your circumstances.
- In‑office days can be structured around school hours or other caring commitments where possible.
- Flexibility on start times is available, provided client requirements are met.
- You must hold an existing, unrestricted right to work in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Applications from candidates who are unable or unwilling to work from our Sydney CBD office will not be considered. Remuneration A competitive base salary will be offered commensurate with experience. For part‑time arrangements, salary and leave entitlements will be calculated on a pro‑rata basis in accordance with your agreed working pattern. Superannuation is paid at the applicable statutory rate on top of your base salary. Unmaze is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process and the role itself to support candidates and employees with caring responsibilities or disability. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3ru8wr
