Finance Manager (Part-Time) Type: Part-Time | Approx. 2 Days Per Week | Flexible Hybrid Structure Location: Brisbane (Murarrie) About Us We are a fast-growing Australian food business operating across import, distribution and manufacturing. Our group supplies globally trending snack products into foodservice, entertainment, retail and hospitality channels across Australia and New Zealand. We are now seeking a commercially minded and highly organised Finance Manager to help strengthen financial visibility, reporting, cashflow management and operational finance systems across the group. - want meaningful influence within a small leadership team What You Will Be Working On Your role will be to make the numbers trusted, timely and commercially helpful. You will lead the finance rhythm across reporting, forecasting, cash flow, controls and month-end. More importantly, you will help the business understand what the numbers mean and what should happen next. This role is not a purely transactional bookkeeping role and is not suited to someone seeking a large corporate finance workplace. We are looking for someone practical, commercially minded and detail-oriented who enjoys solving problems and building structure within a fast-moving business. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Visibility
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of Xero financial reporting
- Support and oversee ERP inventory management system and Xero integration processes
- Assist in restoring and improving management reporting visibility
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly management reporting
- Support sales and gross margin reporting
- Assist with month-end processes and reconciliations Cashflow & Financial Control
- Build and maintain weekly cashflow forecasting models
- Monitor debtor and creditor positions
- Track funding facilities, repayments and finance obligations
- Assist with inventory and landed cost visibility
- Support intercompany funding and reporting processes
- Help improve financial controls and reporting processes across the business Banking & Finance Coordination
- Liaise with banks and finance providers
- Coordinate asset finance and equipment funding processes
- Assist with trade finance and facility administration
- Prepare information required for lenders and external stakeholders
- Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation Systems & Process Improvement
- Help improve financial systems and operational processes
- Support implementation and stabilisation of ERP/inventory systems
- Assist with reporting automation and workflow improvements
- Create structure and documentation around recurring finance processes What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar operational finance role with an SME or operational business
- Strong experience with Xero
- Experience working with inventory, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or import-based businesses
- Confidence across reporting, cashflow, forecasting, month-end and financial reporting capability with an understanding of the value of structure and process
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and robust follow through processes
- A relationship-led style suited to a small, close knit team
- Solid spreadsheet and financial modelling skills Highly Desirable
- Experience with inventory/ERP systems
- Experience with trade finance or asset finance
- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent experience) Why Join Us
