Job Description
**Your opportunity to join us on the Morning shift at Murarrie!**
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our morning shift at Murarrie. In this role, you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient production processes, while fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position, where you’ll guide and support your team to achieve production targets, meet safety and quality standards, and continuously improve processes.
Our Murarrie site processes 1.3 million birds a week and this role will oversee 4 Team Leaders in your section, with responsibility for c. 70 staff across the shift. If you have managed similar sized teams in a busy food manufacturing environment, we are keen to hear from you!
**Key responsibilities**:
- Supervise and lead a team to meet production goals
- Ensure compliance is met across safety and food safety standards
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary
- Provide hands-on support to the team, fostering collaboration and productivity
- Oversee training and development to build team capability
- Manage resources effectively to meet deadlines and achieve efficiency targets
- Report on production outcomes and escalate issues as required
**Key requirements**:
- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment
- Experience in food production or meat processing is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Computer literacy and experience with production systems are advantageous
