It produces quality steel fabrication to a variety of customers ranging from the mining sector, commercial/industrial and architectural work. With the continued increase in demand, the company is in need of a qualified and experienced **Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator**to join the team of exceptional professionals.

**Responsibilities**: Marks off and fabricates structural steel and other metal stock to make or repair metal products and structures such as boilers and pressure vessels.

**Duties**:

- Blueprints & Planning: Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Material Preparation: Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication. Cut marked metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.
- Shaping & Forming: Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, including heating and hammering. Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Joining & Assembly: Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.
- Quality Control: Examine welds for proper bead width, penetration, and overall precision.
- Finishing & Smoothing: Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and treating in acidic solutions. Clean and smooth welds through filing, chiseling, and grinding.

**Qualifications**:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
- AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

**Experience**:

- At least 3 years of experience in Structural Steel
- Experience with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) and familiarity with metal cutting and shaping equipment.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong understanding of metalworking techniques, including the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work precisely and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality in all aspects of work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Forklift licence an advantage
