We are currently seeking a motivated and commercially driven Field Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering technical sales solutions across industrial and automation markets. About the Role As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing new business opportunities while expanding existing OEM, End User, Integrator, and Contractor accounts within your territory. You will combine technical expertise with strategic sales capability to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs while achieving revenue targets. Key Responsibilities Sales & Account Management
- Lead, manage, and develop sales opportunities across the Phoenix Contact product portfolio.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key OEMs, End Users, Integrators, Consultants, and Contractors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and vertical markets.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Promote Phoenix Contact solutions and maintain a strong market presence.
- Review account performance and identify cross-selling opportunities using CRM tools. Business Development
- Proactively identify and influence key decision-makers to secure product specifications.
- Expand business within existing accounts while identifying new customers in the region.
- Support strategic growth initiatives and market development activities. Technical Support & Customer Service
- Provide high-level technical and sales support to customers.
- Deliver product education, seminars, and technical presentations.
- Assist customers with enquiries and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Promote lifecycle management solutions and suitable product alternatives where required. Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, product specialists, and sales teams.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain professional communication and strong customer engagement. Skills & Experience We are looking for someone with:
- Proven success in field sales or technical sales.
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- A minimum of 3-5 years field sales experience with a successful track record.
- Experience in account management and business development.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
- Experience within industrial automation, electrical engineering, or related industries will be highly regarded.
