- $80,000.00 + Superannuation The Chance SunPork Consolidated Pty Ltd requires a Environment and Energy Officer to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, across multiple business units to identify and execute environmentally reasonable practices, reduce the organisations environmental impact and promote a culture of sustainability across SunPork's value chain. This position will assist the Group Sustainability Manager in coordinating large projects, whilst taking he lead on smaller projects across SunPork's operations. Responsibilities, tasks, and duties:
- Assist the Group Sustainability Manager in managing key sustainability projects. This would entail activities such as, but not limited to drafting project scopes, coordinating working groups, ensuring project timelines are met, assisting with the implementation and completing project reviews.
- Engage, collaborate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, building relationships and ensuring cross-business unit support, communication and collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
- Assist Sustainability Team to identify and present opportunities to reduce energy costs, secure energy supply, create new revenue streams, reduce our environmental impact or expand/optimize the performance of our own sources of energy generation.
- Assist Environment and Energy Analyst with information or data required to evaluate SunPork’s energy costs & consumption patterns across the value chain.
- Support the annual life cycle assessment completion, including data collection, data validation, liaising with contract partners (such as Integrity Ag and Environment) and evaluating results.
- Provide business with key information related to energy & environmental sustainability pillars as required.
- Assist in completion of sustainability reporting, including but not limited to monthly leadership team update, Board reports, internal and external presentations, regulatory or compliance reporting.
- Oversee the procurement and relationship management of SunPork Group key waste provider services.
- Continuously improve ‘how we do things’ to improve team efficiency.
- Educate colleagues about SunPork’s energy profile and environmental footprint Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, Energy Management, or other related disciplines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units
- Lead and co-ordinate multiple projects with competing timelines
- Excellent attention to detail combined with organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work within tight time frames and provide prompt responses
- Intermediate proficiency in data analysis and intermediate skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Basic understanding of environmental life cycle assessments and methodologies
- Good knowledge of environmental sustainability issues
- Strong desire to learn new information and understand the broader business operations.
