Architectural Graduate (Eastwood)

Position Title: Architectural Graduate Job Location: BHK Architects Address: 2/2 Rowe St, Eastwood, NSW 2122 Position Summary: Responsible for producing detailed architectural drawings and plans to assist architects and designers in the development of building projects. The role includes translating conceptual ideas into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, adherence to industry standards, and compliance with building codes. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans using computer-aided design Revit (BIM) software.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to develop and refine design concepts.
- Create, drafting, and documenting architectural drawings such as site plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Ensure all drawings and plans comply with building codes, safety regulations, zoning laws, and other relevant guidelines, specifically NSW Apartment Design Guidelines (ADG), and Development Control Planning (DCP).
- Maintain and organize technical documents, including specifications, permits, and contracts.
- Assist in determining the materials and finishes for construction projects based on design specifications.
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and functionality.
- Supporting coordination between architectural and consultant teams. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University bachelor's degree in Architecture (Australia)
- Min. 2 years of experience working for Development Application (DA) for multi-residential units (class 1&2 buildings) in New South Wales.
- Knowledge for Construction Certificate drawing, ADG, LEP/DCP. Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in Revit (BIM), Rhino (3D Modelling), AutoCAD
· Adobe suites (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
· Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, construction standards, Development Control Planning (DCP), and NSW Apartment Design Guide (ADG)
· Strong understanding of architectural terminology, design, and drafting practices.
· Excellent ability to focus on details and ensure precision in drawings.
· Excellent architectural documentation and coordination skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
· Ability to identify and address design issues and discrepancies in drawings.
· Ability to read and understand consultant drawings Preferred Qualifications:
- Min. 2 years working on DA projects for multi-residential units in NSW.
- Experience with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suites.
- Fluent in English. Work Conditions:
