Based mainly in Echuca and reporting to the Harvest Operations Manager, you’ll keep Kagome’s fleet running—harvesters, tractors, forklifts, light vehicles and irrigation pumps—through quality servicing, repairs and maintenance.

You’ll own both preventative and breakdown maintenance, sharpen your fault-finding skills, and drive practical improvements that cut downtime and keep operations performing at their best.

Ultimately, we are looking for anyone with a Mechanical Background, whether it be Heavy Diesel, Light Vehicle, Agricultural or other Engineering that believes they have a skillset worthy of bringing to the team.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Keep harvest operations running by reducing downtime through planned maintenance and rapid fault-finding.

Maintain and repair Kagome’s inventory of Agricultural plant, machinery and equipment.

General Mechanical Fitting

Predominantly Hydraulic Systems

Heavy Diesel Systems

Basic Auto-Electrical Repair

During Harvest – Available for sustained work at remote sites.

During Harvest – Supervise an areas crews conducting Harvest Operations.

About you:

Minimum 3 years relevant experience maintaining/repairing/refurbishing Agricultural Vehicles, Machinery or Heavy Goods Vehicles

Trade Qualified Mechanic. (Other trades such as Fitter & Turner, Fabricator etc. are welcome to apply.)

Current High-Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF). (Desirable, Not Essential.

Unrestricted Car Drivers Licence

Advanced mechanical aptitude – Ability to recognise problems/issues, analyse, formulate and implement appropriate solutions

Ability to work within a team and lead responsibly when required.

Disciplined, self-driven, responsible, solution focused and excellent attention to detail.

$40 to $45 p.h. + OT + Super + Profit Share Bonus Scheme Rate Negotiable within this range based on experience.
