Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is seeking an experienced Director of Anaesthesia to provide clinical leadership across our perioperative services and drive high‐quality, patient‐centred care.

We are seeking to appoint both an interim and a permanent Director of Anaesthesia, ensuring continuity of leadership and ongoing service development.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will lead anaesthesia services while fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting that supports secure and effective patient care.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and influence clinical services within a growing regional health service.

Key responsibilities

Delivering specialist anaesthetic care across perioperative services

Leading, mentoring, and developing medical staff and trainees

Supporting education and ongoing professional development across the team

Driving quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives

Participating in on‐call and emergency response services
