Medical Receptionist (Edinburgh)

**ABOUT US**

**ABOUT THE ROLE** As the Health Clerk, you will be responsible for:

- Providing administrative duties efficiently
- Maintaining patient privacy and ensuring compliance with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards.
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy of health records, database, and information management systems.
- Communicating with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required.
- ** ABOUT THE HEALTH CENTRE**:

- Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin.
- The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component.
- The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2,500 US marines every 6 months from May to September.
- The health centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward.
- Standard operating hours are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday.

**ABOUT YOU**

As the ideal applicant, you will have
- At least 12 months of part-time or full-time experience in an administrative role.
- Experience working in a clinical support role or medical reception, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care to patients.
- Experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date record keeping in a clinical environment.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
