Experience it here. The JORN Cyber Engineer is based within Lockheed Martin Australia’s Engineering Services Contract (ESC) team, supporting the Jindalee Over the Horizon RADAR Network (JORN).
Working within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Integrated Product Team (IPT), the JORN Cyber Engineer is primarily responsible for:
- Working directly with Commonwealth of Australia staff to ensure the ICT design and solution meets program requirements
- Security Governance of JORN ICT Systems
- Leading the design assurance, including Test and Evaluation, of JORN ICT Systems Your responsibilities will include: The Cyber GRC specialist’s primarily responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate with the JORN Engineers and Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)’s in developing and delivering Assessment and Authorisation (A&A;) artefacts in accordance with Australian Defence and Whole of Government standards
- Identify and evaluate risks and threats that could impact the JORN program
- Deliver recommendations to mitigate identified system security threats & risks
- Provide Commonwealth input to the ICT technical design and solution to ensure the design and solution meets the JORN technical and support requirements for ICT systems
- Deliver Cyber Security SME recommendations during customer meetings as required
- Review and approval of Contractor ICT Engineering processes, procedures and tools
- Design review of ICT Related changes from a Cyber Security perspective About you:
- Expert knowledge of Defence’s A&A; process
- Significant experience assessing risk in-line with PSPF, ISM and DSPF requirements
- Excellent understanding of threats and vulnerabilities and how they apply to Defence ICT systems
- Excellent understanding of system engineering principles and methodology
- Excellent skills in writing accurate documentation to present security related information, in a clear and exact manner
- Ability to present A&A; information to both technical and non-technical audience Desirable
- Significant experience working in an Enterprise IT environment with a strong focus on ICT security and environment compliance.
This includes implementing processes and procedures across multiple disciplines including, systems, networking & zones, storage, and making recommendations for purchases of hardware and software.
- Proven application of extensive specialist technical knowledge and experience in ICT security with a working knowledge of other related disciplines
- Significant experience working in a Defence or similar security focused environment that requires IT Support activities to be performed Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
