**Position: Waitress / Front of House Staff**

MalayaLane is a rapidly growing Malaysian-Indian kitchen located in Edinburgh Central, operating with a fully council-approved commercial setup and a 5-Star Food Safety rating. As our customer base continues to grow, we are seeking friendly, reliable front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and support our takeaway operations.

**Role Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and professionally.
- Take dine-in and takeaway orders accurately (counter + phone orders).
- Upsell specials, add-ons, drinks, and signature dishes.
- Pack takeaway and delivery orders neatly and efficiently.
- Operate POS systems and handle payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of FOH, dining areas, and service counters.
- Provide menu recommendations and explain spice levels/allergens.
- Assist the kitchen by managing order flow during peak hours.

**Requirements**:

- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- **Knowledge of Malaysian/Singapore cuisine is highly preferred.**:

- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to upsell in a friendly and professional manner.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- POS and cash-handling experience (training provided).
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
