Job Description

**Your opportunity to join our team** We are looking for a **hands-on, reliable, and motivated Maintenance Fitter (Afternoon Shift)** to join our dedicated team. Based at our Feedmill, you’ll be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly through preventative and reactive maintenance.

**Working hours: 1:30pm to 10:00pm (Afternoon Shift)**

**Key responsibilities and main tasks for this role include**:

- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the feedmill to ensure optimal functionality.
- Identifying and diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to carry out preventative maintenance schedules and inspections in adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Assisting in the installation of new equipment, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives by providing input on process enhancements and efficiency gains.
- Trade Qualification as Fitter
- Clear understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
- Robust technical skills, including proficiency in mechanical systems and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to workplace safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Availability to work occasional weekend hours as required
