We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide complex care support to a young client in Templestowe.

About the Role

You will be supporting an 18-year-old male with cerebral palsy (CP) who is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair. He lives at home with his family and is in his final year of high school.

This role focuses on building a strong, trusting relationship while delivering high-quality care in a home workplace.

Key Responsibilities Meet client at the bus stop and accompany him home Assist with personal care, including showering and dressing (using hoist) Support PEG feeding (training can be provided for the right candidate) Maintain a clean and safe environment (bedroom and bathroom) Engage in straightforward activities using communication tools Provide companionship and support within the client’s room

Shifts Available Tuesdays & Fridays: 4:00pm – 7:00pm Additional hours may become available over time

About You Experience in disability support or complex care preferred PEG feeding experience highly regarded (or willingness to learn) Comfortable with hoisting/manual handling Experience in mental health support is desirable Patient, respectful, and relationship-focused Ability to follow structured routines and care plans
