We’re looking for an enthusiastic and professional Waitress with robust service skills, experience in Square POS, barista adn bartender duties, and a flair for event management to join our energetic team.

About the Role

You’ll be the face of The Mexican Kitchen Templestowe — welcoming guests, managing orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. You’ll also have opportunities to support events, private functions, and bar service operations.

Key Responsibilities Greet and seat customers in a friendly and efficient manner Upsell menu items, drinks, and specials Take and process orders using the Square POS system Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately Prepare and serve coffee, cocktails, and specialty drinks (barista & bar service) Maintain knowledge of the full menu, including ingredients, spice levels, and recommendations Assist in coordinating restaurant events and private functions Handle customer payments, refunds, and split bills accurately Ensure tables, counters, and service areas remain clean and organised Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service Uphold Tierra & Flame’s service standards and guest experience

What We’re Looking For 1+ year experience in restaurant or café service (Mexican or Latin cuisine preferred) Hands-on experience with Square POS system Experience as a barista and/or bartender Robust customer service and communication skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced workplace Event management or coordination experience (preferred) High personal presentation and hygiene standards Team player with a positive, can-do attitude Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays Valid RSA certificate (required for alcohol service)
