Bus Driver (Longreach)

- Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing
- Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus
- Folding and unfolding mobility aids
- Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to other's needs
- Aiding residents with straightforward mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)
- Share feedback with the Lifestyle Officer / Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift
- Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents
- Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times To be successful:
- MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less
- Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)
- Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)
- Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down system, (desirable)
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
