Primary Industries (DPI) Fixed term temporary

As a Research Agronomist, you will work with an energetic team of research and extension officers in the Farming Systems Innovation team to assess new farming systems and practices on farms and help growers and agronomists to implement thebest of these practices on their farms. You will develop an understanding of regional grain production systems, and build collaborative relationships with growers participating in project activities. You must possess a: A Bachelor degree or higher in Agricultural Science, Applied Science or Rural Science in a field relevant to the position from a recognised tertiary institution. Queensland broadacre dryland cropping experience is highly desirable. A current 'C' class drivers' licence. Physical requirements of the role include standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, sitting, twisting, climbing, working outdoors. You will have an ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, to service research sites. You will have a keen eye for detail, great time management and effective problem solving skills, with a positive attitude, to contribute to our close-knit and connected team.
