Position

PIMS Group are in search for an experienced and committed Painter to support one of our long-term Underground Mining Contractors with their Township Maintenance Services team.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have but not limited to:


- An Australian recognised trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a qualified painter in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Expertise in surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming, to ensure a flawless finish.
- Proficiency in applying a variety of paints, stains, varnishes, and finishes to a range of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and exteriors.
- Familiarity with painting tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and sanding machines.
- A solid understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and practices, with a focus on safe material handling and equipment use.
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Training) and a valid manual driver's license with reliable transport.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- A willingness to adapt to new techniques and tools, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
