About us Pundit Tek Pty Ltd provide telecommunication installation and maintenance services to Telstra,Fulton Hogan through its employees and sub-contractors since July 2015. We are looking for an experienced Telecommunication Cabler to join our team. The company provides telecommunication related services in VIC, SA, NSW, WA, NT, QLD and surrounding areas .

About the Role Pundit Tek PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Telecommunications Linesworker to join our growing team in Emerald QLD 4720 and elsewhere reasonably directed by the us. As this is a mobile job there is a large quantity of travel involved. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and testing telecommunications cables, lines and associated equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Installing, connecting, maintaining and repairing telecommunications cables and equipment
• Erecting and maintaining overhead and underground telecommunications lines
• Diagnosing and resolving faults in telecommunications networks and systems
• Conducting testing and inspections to ensure network performance and compliance
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications
• Operating specialised tools, equipment and machinery safely
• Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with team members, contractors and clients on-site

Skills and Experience Required
• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
• At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications line installation and maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunications cabling, fibre optics and network infrastructure
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair telecommunications line faults
• Experience working with overhead and underground cabling systems
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and industry regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and specifications
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• White Card and relevant telecommunications certifications/licences preferred
