About the Opportunity ? Meteor Downs South Open Cut The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading, planning & coordinating all facets of maintenance to ensure maximum productivity by optimizing repair methods, equipment and procedures. Moreover, this position must ensure scheduling and planning methods used optimise mine operations and provide for changes to the operational environment as they arise. Duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Responsible for the delivery of the following contracts; Maintenance Operating System, SHMS Compliance, Approval of Expenditure as per the Sojitz Authorities Matrix and Budget Compliance.
- Ensures provision of labour & equipment resources to achieve maintenance schedules & correct allocation of labour.
- Working with both internal and external stakeholders including, Sojitz HUB Maintenance, external contractors and OEM?s.
- Provision of adequate resources to deliver on Maintenance objectives, targets and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with the other departments to plan fleet servicing and maintenance schedules to minimise interruptions to operations and delegate actions required.
- Coordinate project and long-term maintenance activities.
- Ensuring Maintenance resources support Production and Maintenance requirements.
- Provision of adequate resources to deliver on planning, scheduling and maintaining plant and equipment requirements. About you The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for providing leadership, systems, process and development of the Maintenance team. You will ensure maintenance planning, scheduling, condition monitoring and associated processes are managed to a level resulting in high performance of the Sojitz assets. The successful candidates will display the following skills, experience, attributes and qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in Asset Maintenance / business Management.
- 5-10 years? experience in a Mining maintenance environment, minimum of 5 years working at a Supervisor level or higher.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to deliver against targets.
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to develop productive working relationships across the organisation What Sojitz can offer you
